Public talk hosted by Theosophy Whanganui Sunday 2pm June 25th
‘Scepticism: Friend or Foe on the Spiritual Path?’ by Murray Stentiford.
Sceptics seem to take special delight in attacking psychic phenomena and manifestations of spirituality, in the name of being scientific. But do they fall into the traps of human nature themselves? We explore how, despite all this, scepticism can be an important ally on the path of Self-Realisation.
Murray Stentiford combines a lifelong interest in science, music and spirituality with a passion for exploring and sharing things. He sees Theosophy as a unifying framework that embraces the endless facets of human existence. Murray has held several positions of responsibility in the Theosophical Society over the years, including National Vice President and National Education Coordinator.
He has a Masters degree in Physics and is an accomplished musician.
Murray is an extremely popular national speaker and we look forward to sharing more of his experience, interesting ideas and humour at the usual venue Community Arts Centre 19 Taupo Quay back river entrance in Awa room. Free entry (gold coin donation appreciated). Refreshment provided afterwards. Murray’s talk on 25 June is instead of our usual 2nd Sunday monthly schedule, so there will be no presentation on 11 June.
